Have you ever heard about the data lost by the database administrator or snapping data protocols? Probably yes. Data are as secure as are the weakest element. Strong passwords do not help if you access data through http protocol over the internet (common practice for web-based hosted solutions). Passwords do not prevent data against untrustworthy administrator. E.g. each person with the access the server usually have direct access to the database and do not need database account (e.g. Microsoft SQL allows such access)
Facio processes implements unique mechanism that may not be overcame by any tools. Sensitive or even secure data (e.g. contracts, salaries, personal data etc.) are encrypted by the password that appropriate persons have stored in the person’s USB flash memory. If the passwords are stolen they are invalidated immediately after somebody tries to use them in the system. Encrypted data are decrypted at the host computer and may not be stolen on the server or on the way.
Data should be as secure as possible and companies usually and correctly insist on the server location in house. PDQM provides services for the site-based systems. Facio processes is designed to operate on the local server with only remote management by the PDQM if required. All internal management and security rules are easy to implement with your own server.
